Jeremy Clarkson brags about helicopter in A-Level results flop tweet
It has been 11 years of the Clarkson’s Farm star’s A-Level results tweet
Jeremy Clarkson has recycled his 11-year-old A-Level results tweet with a boast about his current lifestyle in the Cotswolds.
As teenagers across the country receive their A-Level results, the Clarkson’s Farm star said he is preparing to install a helicopter landing pad in his garden in Oxfordshire.
On Thursday, he wrote on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter: “If your A-level results are disappointing, don’t worry. I got a C and two Us, and here I am today, installing lights for a helicopter landing pad in my garden.”
Clarkson likes to highlight that this hasn’t impacted the way his life has turned out. It has become a running joke for the past 11 years.
This year, candidates receiving the top grades have increased for a second year in a row. A total of 28.3% of entries were awarded either an A or A*, up from 27.8% in 2024 and above 25.4% in 2019.
This is the highest proportion on record outside the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since 2014, Clarkson has been reassuring teenagers who were disappointed with their grades.
It’s no secret that the presenter has become a huge success since he was propelled to fame on Top Gear. He has gone on to make a roaring success of his businesses, too.
His brags over the years have included opening his own pub, The Farmer’s Dog, last year, as well as glamorous holidays.
