Kelvin Fletcher’s wife Liz Fletcher has revealed who she thinks his ‘dream woman’ is as she jokingly admitted to viewers that ‘he got me’.
The popular couple were back on TV screens on Sunday evening Sunday (December 28) with their Fletchers’ Family Farm at Christmas special. Beginning in 2022, the series follows Emmerdale star Kelvin and his wife Liz after they entered the world of farming.
Knowing each other since they were children, former Strictly Come Dancing winner Kelvin and Liz have known each other for most of their lives. However, it wasn’t until they were adults in 2009 where they began seeing each other.
Tying the knot in 2015, the couple went on to have four children – Marnie, Milo, Maximus and Mateusz. The family made the big decision in 2021 to switch up city life for a more agricultural setting.
The 2025 Christmas special saw the family taking time away from their Peak District farm for a European adventure. Getting a taste of alpine farming life, the Fletchers were seen spending time in Tyrol, Austria.
Staying with the Achrainer family, the Fletchers couldn’t have asked for a better hosts to show them how farming works in Austria. Viewers saw Liz join the family matriarch Martina to learn her impressive baking techniques.

Using ingredients sourced directly from the farm, Liz and Martina cooked up some Bauernkrapfen, also known as Farmer’s doughnuts. However, Liz was taken back by just how good Martina was at baking the mouthwatering treats.
“She doesn’t measure anything, she just knows. She just feels, she just has a feeling,” she remarked whilst observing the baking process,” she said. Liz later learned that the farmers’ wives are able to make up to 500 doughnuts at once.
Liz later admitted that when Martina’s cooking is the kind Kevin would probably want her to be able to replicate. She noted: “I’m good at eating, not great at cooking. I do my best, I burnt the kettle once…
“That was so fascinating and it’s so good to see that they have this real farmer’s wife tradition. And they keep this tradition and they cook to celebrate.”
Liz continued: “Actually that’s probably Kelvin’s dream woman, a farmer’s wife. But he got me and I can’t cook.”
The Fletcher family have had a tough time in recent months, with a devastating fire impacting their farmhouse. In spite of this, they remain committed to exploring the ins and outs of farming.
“What a year it’s been. As we’ve reached our fourth year in farming, we’ve fallen for this way of life hook, line and sinker. But farming can be a bumpy ride and this year we’ve had some big challenges,” Kelvin noted.
