Kaleb Cooper Has £7,000 of Equipment Stolen: What’s Happening in Britain?
“What Is Going On With England?” — Kaleb Cooper Victim of £7,000 Farm Tool Theft Amid Rising Rural Crime
Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper has been hit by a shocking theft that’s left fans furious and the farming community on edge. The young farmer and fan-favorite from the Amazon Prime series revealed that a £7,000 hydraulic post knocker was stolen on Tuesday night — a powerful tool essential for fencing work.
The incident occurred in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, and appears to be part of a larger coordinated farm theft. Another business, Home & Country Fencing, also reported their £70,000 John Deere tractor was taken during the same night. A burnt-out silver SUV was found nearby, raising suspicions of a getaway vehicle being torched to destroy evidence.
Kaleb Cooper Speaks Out
The 27-year-old took to Instagram to vent his frustration and call for public awareness:
“My post knocker was stolen last night. As well as the John Deere tractor.
Can we please make this as hot as possible! What is going on with England at the moment!”
Fans quickly rallied behind him, expressing anger and concern in the comments. Many pointed to the growing trend of farm-related crimes and the need for better rural protection.
What Was Stolen?
Kaleb’s post knocker — a Protech P200S — is no ordinary farm tool. Purchased during filming of Clarkson’s Farm, it features a 240kg hydraulic hammer capable of driving fence posts into tough terrain. Jeremy Clarkson once described it as one of his “maddest” bits of machinery, adding:
“It could be used in Gangs of Chipping Norton. This really would break you in half.”
The tool was reportedly on loan to a fencing company when the theft occurred.
Rural Crime on the Rise
The incident is far from isolated. Rural crime is now a £50 million-a-year problem in the UK, with farm equipment and GPS thefts on the rise. In 2024 alone, NFU Mutual reported over £7 million lost to vehicle and GPS-related thefts.
Farms are increasingly being targeted by organized gangs using quad bikes, 4x4s, and even drones to identify unprotected sites. Despite efforts to boost security — including cameras, trackers, and locked compounds — many farms remain vulnerable.
Fans Demand Action
Kaleb’s fans have taken to social media, tagging local authorities and demanding tougher enforcement and improved rural policing.
“We watch Kaleb work hard day in, day out — it’s heartbreaking,” wrote one follower.
“If they can hit him, they can hit anyone.”
A Wake-Up Call for Farmers?
Kaleb’s theft is a stark reminder of the vulnerability of rural workers. With farming communities already facing economic and climate pressures, such crimes deepen the strain.
As of now, Thames Valley Police have yet to release an official statement. Kaleb and the affected company are hoping the exposure will lead to tips — and ultimately, justice.
