Fletchers Return with Festive Farm Special as ITV Airs Christmas Spin-Off
ITV viewers will be invited back to the Cheshire countryside this weekend as the Fletcher family unveil a festive new spin-off celebrating creativity, family life and Christmas preparations on their farm.
Titled Fletcher’s Country Workshop, the Christmas special shifts the spotlight from daily farm work to a more creative, hands-on side of rural living, with Liz Fletcher taking centre stage as she prepares for a large seasonal gathering at the family home.
The programme builds on the success of Fletcher’s Family Farm, the long-running ITV reality series that has followed former Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher, his wife Liz and their four children since they swapped urban life for farming four years ago. Audiences have watched the family learn to rear livestock, expand their farming business and adapt to the demands of countryside living, often through trial, teamwork and persistence.
This festive edition offers a change of pace. According to Daisybeck Studios, the production company behind the series, the Christmas special is designed to show “a different side to life on the farm”, focusing on crafting, upcycling and do-it-yourself projects rather than livestock and machinery.
At the heart of the episode is Liz’s ambition to transform an old stable block into a warm and welcoming venue for a Christmas party for friends and family. With limited time, a large space to fill and plenty of ideas, the project becomes a collective effort involving the entire family.
In a statement shared on Daisybeck’s social media channels, the production team described the programme as “a festive special that follows Liz and the family as they roll up their sleeves and dive into designing, making, crafting and full-on DIY”. The post adds that the episode follows Liz “on her mission to turn the old stable block into a fabulous festive venue”, with everyone pitching in to help bring the vision to life.
Trailers released ahead of the broadcast give viewers a glimpse of what to expect. Liz is shown in the kitchen preparing Christmas treats with two of her sons, while also designing handmade decorations and cards. Her father appears drafted in to help with preparations, reinforcing the family-focused nature of the programme. Elsewhere, Kelvin is seen tackling carpentry tasks as the stable block begins its transformation.
Behind-the-scenes clips have also been shared across the Fletchers’ social media platforms, offering fans a preview of the festive atmosphere and the practical challenges involved in preparing for a large celebration on a working farm.
The response from viewers has been positive, with many fans expressing enthusiasm for the special and appreciation for the family’s down-to-earth approach. On Facebook, Christine A Jones wrote: “Will set TV box to record so we don’t miss it. Really look forward to watching your series about your wonderful farming life. Merry Christmas Fletcher family.”
Karen Simpson commented: “I love watching the cheeky kids, whole family is down to Earth,” while Sheena Barbara added: “Can’t wait to see this, show a genuine home maker do things from the heart.”
For ITV, the special continues a tradition of festive programming built around familiar faces and real-life stories, offering viewers a relaxed and family-friendly alternative in the run-up to Christmas.
Fletcher’s Country Workshop will air on ITV on Sunday, 14 December, at 3.30pm.
