Savannah Chrisley Begins a New Chapter Following Major Family Shift
Savannah Chrisley Starts Fresh With New Condo After Parents’ Prison Release
Savannah Chrisley is stepping into a brand-new chapter of her life — one that she says has been a long time coming. The Chrisley Knows Best star, now 28, has announced that she’s moving out of the family home and into her own Nashville condo, marking the start of a new era after years of intense family responsibility.
For Savannah, the past two and a half years have been anything but typical. Since her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, began serving prison sentences for fraud and tax evasion, she has been the primary caregiver for her younger siblings, Grayson and Chloe. Balancing a public career with the private demands of raising two children has been, in her own words, “overwhelming.”
“I think all the responsibilities I have had for two and a half years have been so overwhelming that I literally just want to walk out my door, lock it, and leave — not have to worry about a yard and pool and all the things,” Savannah shared on her Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley podcast.
From Caretaker to Independence
When Todd and Julie reported to prison, Savannah didn’t hesitate to take on the role of a full-time guardian. She managed school schedules, extracurricular activities, household tasks, and the emotional toll of keeping the family afloat during such a public ordeal.
Her number one priority, she says, was always her parents’ eventual return. “The past two and a half years, I fought like my number one priority was getting my parents home,” she said. Now that both Todd and Julie have been released, Savannah feels the time is right to focus on her own needs.
“It’s honestly felt like such a dream to have them at home,” she said. “I’ve loved all the time I’ve had with my family. But as an almost 30-year-old woman, I need my own space.”
Staying Close, but on Her Own Terms
While she’s leaving the family home, Savannah isn’t going far. Her new condo is still in Nashville, offering the perfect mix of independence and proximity to loved ones.
“I’m moving into a condo here in Nashville and I am super excited,” she revealed. “I’m just so ready to have my safe space fully designed and furnished and organized and to just get on my healthy routine. I’ll be able to walk to gyms, coffee shops, restaurants — all of the things.”
She describes the move not just as a change of address, but as a symbolic reset. “I’m in a place in life to where I’m not saying no to anything. If an opportunity presents itself, I’m taking it and running with it.”
Cameras Still Rolling
Savannah’s big move comes just as her family returns to television with a new Lifetime reality series, The Grizzlies. The show picks up almost immediately after Todd and Julie’s release, offering an inside look at the family’s emotional reunion.
“We started filming literally the night we got home,” Savannah said. “With this new series, you will see the first time Dad and Mom see each other after everything. I’m looking at this as me exposing the truth.”
While Savannah is embracing her own personal space, she won’t be far from the cameras — or from her family’s next big chapter in the spotlight.
Looking Ahead
For Savannah, the condo move represents more than just a change in scenery. It’s a step toward reclaiming a sense of self after years of putting others first. She’s eager to create a home that reflects her personality, maintain a healthier routine, and explore whatever opportunities come her way.
“I’m ready to make up for the past two and a half years,” she said, noting that while she’ll always be there for her family, she’s ready to prioritize her own dreams.
From acting as a stand-in parent during her parents’ incarceration to now carving out her own independent space, Savannah Chrisley’s journey has been one of resilience, adaptability, and determination. And with a new home, a new reality series, and a renewed sense of purpose, she’s clearly ready for whatever comes next.
