Kaleb Cooper Issues Urgent Plea as Clarkson’s Farm Star Battles Agonising Health Condition

Kaleb Cooper, the straight-talking farm manager who became one of the most beloved figures on Clarkson’s Farm, has revealed he is battling a painful health condition that has left him struggling to carry on with his daily work.

In a candid video shared with his millions of followers, the 27-year-old farmer spoke openly about the intense discomfort he is currently experiencing while continuing to work at Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire.

The normally energetic and upbeat Cooper appeared visibly distressed as he addressed his audience from behind the wheel of a tractor, admitting that the condition has caused some of the worst physical pain he has ever experienced.

“I’ve never been in so much pain in my life,” he told viewers.

A Painful Diagnosis

Cooper explained that he had recently been diagnosed with shingles, a viral infection known for causing severe nerve pain and an uncomfortable rash. The illness is triggered by the same virus that causes chickenpox, which can remain dormant in the body for years before reactivating later in life.

For Cooper, the diagnosis came as a complete shock.

Speaking honestly to his followers, he said he had always believed the condition was something that mainly affected much older people.

“I don’t know how I’m saying this,” he said during the video. “But I’m 27 years old and I’ve got shingles.”

He added that the pain has been constant and difficult to ignore while working long hours on the farm.

“Honestly, it’s like pins and needles continually in your body,” he explained, struggling to find the words to describe the sensation.

At one moment in the video, Cooper paused as if trying to contain the urge to swear, clearly overwhelmed by the discomfort.

Turning to Fans for Help

Rather than hiding the situation, Cooper decided to share his experience openly with the millions of fans who follow his journey through farming.

In the video message, he appealed directly to viewers for advice on how to cope with the condition.

“How do I get rid of it?” he asked. “Can I take a tablet to get rid of it really quickly or something?”

The plea quickly sparked an outpouring of responses from followers offering sympathy, personal experiences, and suggestions for managing the illness.

Many viewers expressed concern that Cooper was still working despite the pain, while others encouraged him to seek medical support and rest.

For a farmer used to long days and physically demanding work, slowing down is rarely easy. But shingles can be particularly challenging because the nerve pain it causes can last for weeks or even months in some cases.

Life on Diddly Squat Continues

Despite the discomfort, Cooper was still carrying out his duties on the farm when he recorded the video.

That determination has become a defining part of his public image. Since joining Jeremy Clarkson on Clarkson’s Farm, Cooper has gained widespread recognition for his deep knowledge of agriculture, sharp sense of humour, and tireless work ethic.

Originally from the Cotswolds area, he grew up immersed in farming and has spent much of his life working the land.

The hit Prime Video series has documented many of the ups and downs of life at Diddly Squat Farm, from unpredictable weather and livestock challenges to financial pressures and complex agricultural regulations.

Throughout it all, Cooper has remained one of the central figures keeping the farm running.

A Rising Star Beyond the Farm

Cooper’s popularity has grown rapidly since the series first launched in 2021. What began as a supporting role alongside Clarkson has evolved into a national profile, with fans drawn to his straightforward personality and passion for farming.

His rising popularity has even led to his own television project.

Prime Video recently commissioned a four-part series titled Kaleb: Down Under, which will follow Cooper as he travels to Australia to explore farming on a dramatically different scale.

The programme will see him visiting massive agricultural operations spanning thousands of acres, offering a sharp contrast to the fields of the English countryside he knows so well.

Despite the new opportunity, Cooper has made it clear that he is not leaving Diddly Squat behind.

The Future of Clarkson’s Farm

Fans of the show can expect to see Cooper back in action when the fifth series of Clarkson’s Farm arrives later this spring.

The programme has become one of Prime Video’s most successful productions, offering viewers a revealing look at the realities of modern farming in Britain.

A sixth series has already been confirmed to be in development, ensuring that the story of Diddly Squat Farm — and Cooper’s role within it — will continue for some time yet.

For now, however, the farmer is focused on getting through a painful health episode while continuing to do the work he loves.

Even as he asked for advice and support from fans, one thing was clear from the video: Kaleb Cooper may be in serious discomfort, but his determination to keep going remains as strong as ever.
