Kaleb Cooper Shares Health Update After Painful Diagnosis and Appeals to Fans for Advice.

Kaleb Cooper, the breakout star of the hit series Clarkson’s Farm, has revealed that he is currently dealing with a painful health condition that has left him seeking advice from his millions of supporters.

The 27-year-old farming contractor, who became widely known for working alongside Jeremy Clarkson at Diddly Squat Farm, took to social media to speak candidly about the situation. In a video shared with his more than three million Instagram followers, Kaleb admitted that he has recently been diagnosed with shingles, a viral infection that can cause severe nerve pain and a persistent rash.

Speaking from the cab of his tractor, the young farmer did not hide how difficult the experience has been.

“I’ve never been in so much pain in my life,” Kaleb told followers in the video. “I don’t know how I’m saying this, but I’m 27 years old and I’ve got shingles. It is so painful.”

Shingles is caused by the reactivation of the varicella-zoster virus, the same virus responsible for chickenpox. While it can affect people of any age, it is more commonly associated with older adults, which is why Kaleb admitted the diagnosis came as a surprise.

“I thought only older people got that,” he said honestly. “Honestly, it’s like pins and needles continually in your body.”

The sensation he described is typical of shingles, which often produces intense nerve irritation. Many sufferers experience burning or tingling pain before a rash develops, usually on one side of the body or face. In some cases, the discomfort can last for weeks.

Kaleb, clearly frustrated by the experience, even turned to his followers for help.

“Does anyone know how to get rid of it quickly?” he asked in the video. “Can I take a tablet to get rid of it really quickly or something?”

The appeal quickly sparked a wave of responses from fans offering suggestions, encouragement, and personal experiences with the condition. Many followers urged the television personality to seek medical treatment quickly, as antiviral medications are often used to reduce the severity and duration of the infection when taken early.

For viewers of Clarkson’s Farm, Kaleb’s openness about his health comes as another reminder of the demanding lifestyle that often accompanies agricultural work. The farmer has become one of the most recognizable faces of the Prime Video series since its debut, where his practical farming knowledge and straightforward personality quickly won over audiences.

Working closely with Jeremy Clarkson on the management of Diddly Squat Farm in the Cotswolds, Kaleb has frequently been seen juggling the realities of farming life — long hours, unpredictable weather, and the constant pressure of maintaining crops and livestock.

His latest health challenge is not the first time he has faced physical setbacks.

In 2025, Kaleb revealed that he had been hospitalized after fracturing his ankle, an injury that required him to wear a protective boot for an extended period. The injury temporarily slowed his ability to work on the farm, something he admitted was particularly frustrating given the fast-paced nature of agricultural life.

Despite the obstacles, Kaleb has remained deeply committed to the profession he loves.

Last year he also appeared on Good Morning Britain, where he spoke candidly about the growing challenges facing farmers across the United Kingdom. During the interview, Kaleb explained that unpredictable weather patterns have made recent harvests increasingly difficult.

“Farming on a yearly basis is getting harder and harder with the weather,” he said at the time. “Farmers have had two bad years. Last year we had far too much rain, and this year there hasn’t been enough.”

The result, he explained, has placed significant pressure on many farms.

“We can survive one bad year,” Kaleb said. “But two bad years on the run is hard work. I don’t believe too many farmers are going to survive that.”

Alongside his television success, Kaleb has also expanded into writing. In 2025 he released his first children’s book, Kaleb’s Farmyard Tales, introducing younger readers to life on the farm through stories inspired by his daily experiences.

Yet despite his growing profile, Kaleb continues to describe himself first and foremost as a farmer.

Even while discussing the difficulties of the profession, he often speaks with genuine enthusiasm about the work.

“I woke up this morning, got the cows in the background,” he said during the television interview. “I’m going to feed all the cows today. It’s something I love doing.”

Kaleb, who is also a father of three, has said that while he would welcome his children taking an interest in farming one day, he would never push them toward the profession.

“I always say I never want to force my kids into something they don’t want to do,” he explained. “If you wake up and say ‘I’ve got to go to work today,’ you’re probably in the wrong job.”

“For me,” he added, “I wake up and think, ‘What am I doing today?’ That’s how I know I’m doing the right thing.”

For now, fans of Clarkson’s Farm are hoping that the young farmer’s current health issue will pass quickly. His willingness to share both the highs and the challenges of rural life has become a defining part of his public image.

And as the messages of support continue to flood his social media pages, it is clear that Kaleb Cooper’s honesty — even when dealing with a painful illness — has only strengthened the connection he shares with his audience.
