Todd Chrisley Addresses Personal Allegations from His Daughter.

Todd Chrisley Opens Up About Past Allegations and His Relationship with Daughter Lindsie

Reality TV star Todd Chrisley has finally spoken about the long-standing controversy surrounding his daughter Lindsie Chrisley — now known as Lindsie Landsman — during the final episode of Lifetime’s series “The Chrisleys: Back to Reality.”

A Father-Daughter Relationship Tested by Time

Todd, best known for Chrisley Knows Best, shares two children — Lindsie and Kyle — with his first wife, Teresa Terry. In the new Lifetime finale, Todd reflected on his strained relationship with Lindsie and the difficult years that followed their public fallout in 2019.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Todd revealed that his relationship with Lindsie had already deteriorated long before her much-discussed television interview that year. Tensions escalated when his legal team informed him that Lindsie might have provided information to the IRS in its investigation against Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley, who were later convicted of bank and tax fraud in 2022.

“When I heard that, it felt like all the air had left the room,” Todd recalled, describing the emotional toll the situation took on him and Julie.
For her part, Lindsie has consistently denied any involvement in the government’s case against her father and stepmother.

Addressing the Rumors on Television

In Back to Reality, Todd revisited those difficult moments — not to reopen old wounds, but to clarify what really happened. He read from a transcript of Lindsie’s testimony during his and Julie’s 2022 trial, where she stated that she no longer believes the previous allegations that caused a rift in their family.

Todd also expressed regret over past social media comments he made about his daughter, acknowledging that his own words had deepened the divide.
“No one in our family ever talked about anything like that. Those rumors were never real,” he said firmly.

Todd’s son, Chase Chrisley, also spoke up during the episode, denying any part in the controversy and expressing disappointment that speculation had gone so far. “Our family would never be involved in anything like that. It was painful to hear,” he said.

Lindsie’s Change of Perspective

Earlier in 2025, Lindsie appeared on the Cate & Ty Break It Down podcast, where she revisited her earlier statements and admitted that she may have misunderstood the situation years ago. She explained that a former acquaintance had shared misleading information, which led to confusion during an already stressful period of her life.

In her more recent testimony — read aloud by Todd on Back to Reality — Lindsie confirmed that she no longer stands by the allegations she made in 2019. The acknowledgment marked a turning point in the Chrisley family’s long journey toward reconciliation.

Forgiveness and Moving Forward

Todd and Julie Chrisley were granted full presidential pardons by Donald Trump on May 27, 2025, after serving just over two years of their original 19-year combined sentence.

In the season finale, viewers saw a more reflective side of Todd — a man seeking peace rather than conflict. His focus now, he said, is on rebuilding trust and finding healing within his family.

Chase Chrisley shared an emotional perspective: “When something like that gets said publicly, it never really goes away. But what matters is that we’re learning to forgive and move forward.”

For longtime fans, the Chrisleys’ story has always been about more than wealth or fame. It’s about family — with all its flaws, resilience, and hope for reconciliation.

A New Chapter

By opening up in The Chrisleys: Back to Reality, Todd Chrisley made it clear that he’s ready to close a painful chapter and begin a new one. Rather than hiding from controversy, he addressed it directly, hoping to replace past tension with understanding.

“I just want peace and unity in my family,” Todd said. “That’s all that really matters to me now.”

As the Chrisleys move into this next phase of their lives, viewers are reminded that beyond the headlines lies a very human story — one about forgiveness, second chances, and the enduring bond of family.
