Chase Chrisley’s Redemption: Inside His Emotional Reunion After Rehab and Family Fallout
Chase Chrisley Reunites with Family After Rehab and Feud: “My People”
After months of healing and rebuilding broken relationships, the Chrisley family has reunited — and fans are here for it.
Over the weekend, Chase Chrisley joined his parents, Todd and Julie, and siblings Savannah, Grayson, and Chloe for a family trip to the University of Alabama, where Grayson is currently attending college.
Chase shared the heartwarming moment on Instagram, posting a smiling group photo with the caption:
“My people.”
The reunion marked a significant milestone for the Chrisleys, whose once-close family bonds were tested by personal struggles, public scrutiny, and a long-running feud between Chase and his sister Savannah.
A Long Road to Healing
Fans of The Chrisleys: Back to Reality know that the road to this family photo hasn’t been easy. In the season 1 finale, it was revealed that Chase had checked himself into rehab to address his battle with alcohol. The decision came after a turbulent year that included a highly publicized arrest for alleged simple battery and a period of estrangement from his family.
During the episode, Chase admitted that his drinking had deepened the divide between him and Savannah. “We don’t speak… We’re not speaking,” he said at the time, describing their relationship as “unrepairable.”
He also acknowledged that the ongoing feud had affected how often he saw his parents after their release from prison in May.
Todd and Julie were behind bars for more than two years following their convictions on 12 counts of bank and wire fraud, tax evasion, and conspiracy before being pardoned by President Donald Trump earlier this year.
“Whenever I go over there, it makes the whole situation uncomfortable,” Chase said on the show. “I’m not gonna make Grayson or my mom and dad feel uncomfortable just because me and Savannah can’t get along.”
Facing the Past, Finding Forgiveness
After completing his rehab program, Chase began reaching out to repair relationships — starting with Savannah. Their emotional reconciliation unfolded during a Zoom call featured in the finale, where Chase opened up about his regrets.
“I definitely could have shown up for you more,” he told Savannah, admitting that his actions had hurt her deeply.
Savannah, who hosts the Unlocked podcast, was candid in her response: “A blanket ‘I’m sorry’ is tough for me to accept,” she said. “But I want us to talk about it so we don’t get to the same place we’ve been at.”
What followed was one of the most heartfelt moments fans have seen between the siblings.
“I’m beyond proud of you,” Chase said tearfully. “I’m beyond thankful for the steps that you took and the responsibility that you carried because I was a mess.”
Savannah, emotional but receptive, replied: “I know that and I appreciate that. I’m not truly happy with how I handled my stress and how it came across. It’s always been said, ‘You’re the strong one, you can deal with it.’ I never wanted to deal with it by myself.”
The exchange ended with the two expressing forgiveness and hope for the future.
“What I can do is show up for you now and in the future,” Chase said. “I’m sorry, Savannah. And I love you.”
Savannah responded, “I love you, and I’m here if you need me.”
A New Chapter for the Chrisleys
Their emotional reunion seems to have paved the way for this weekend’s family trip — the first time in months that all the Chrisleys have been seen together in good spirits.
For a family whose ups and downs have played out in public for over a decade, this moment symbolizes something deeper than just a photo op. It represents forgiveness, growth, and resilience — values that Todd and Julie have long tried to instill in their children, both before and after their time behind bars.
Savannah later commented under Chase’s Instagram post with a simple heart emoji, while fans flooded the comments with support, celebrating the family’s progress.
“Family is forever,” one fan wrote. “Seeing you all together again gives me hope.”
With The Chrisleys: Back to Reality renewed for a second season, viewers can expect to see more of the family’s healing journey — and how they continue rebuilding their lives after a tumultuous few years.
As Chase captioned, perhaps most perfectly: “My people.”
