Jeremy Clarkson’s Stark Warning to Kaleb Cooper as He Faces Fame and a Career Crossroads.

Kaleb Cooper may have shot to fame as the breakout star of Clarkson’s Farm, but behind the cheeky banter and tractor rides, Jeremy Clarkson has issued him a sobering warning: fame can be fleeting, and the wrong choices could make or break his career.

From Unknown Farmhand to Household Name

When Clarkson’s Farm debuted on Amazon Prime in 2021, few expected Kaleb Cooper, then just 24 years old, to become one of the show’s most beloved personalities. His blunt honesty, encyclopedic farming knowledge, and hilarious exchanges with Clarkson quickly made him a fan favorite.

Despite his quick rise to fame, Kaleb has never strayed too far from the soil of the Cotswolds. Now 27, he remains deeply rooted at Diddly Squat Farm, balancing growing celebrity status with his commitment to the land.

But the spotlight has brought challenges, and Kaleb admits he turned to Jeremy Clarkson himself for advice when he realized how famous he had become.

Jeremy’s Two Options

Speaking to The Sunday Times, Kaleb recalled the conversation that changed his perspective.

“I went to Jeremy, ‘What do I do?’” Kaleb explained. “He went, ‘Kaleb, you’ve got two options. You go out there and make all the money you can, and you fall off the face of the earth in five years’ time, or you go for longevity.’”

Opting for the second path, Kaleb listened as Clarkson delivered a stark warning.

“He said, ‘Right, OK, then you’ve got to be really careful what you do and what you don’t do.’ So when someone says, ‘Do you want to do an advert for a brand, the money’s great,’ I think, ‘Probably not. I’d rather go sit on the tractor, actually.’”

For Kaleb, the advice was simple but powerful: protect your authenticity, or risk losing everything.

Building a Career Beyond Farming

While he continues to manage the day-to-day operations at Diddly Squat, Kaleb has also branched out into new ventures. His Instagram following has soared to over three million, and he has already written four books, including his first children’s title, Kaleb’s Farmyard Tales.

Last year, he stepped even further outside his comfort zone with a debut solo theatre tour. The 37-date tour sold out across the UK, showcasing Kaleb’s humor and relatability to fans in a live setting.

Jeremy Clarkson himself gave the young farmer his blessing, posting online: “Wishing this silly sod all the very best this evening as he embarks on his nationwide tour. God speed mate. You’re a rock star.”

Clarkson Struggles Without Him

But Kaleb’s temporary absence from the farm wasn’t easy for Clarkson. Left to manage Diddly Squat largely on his own, the presenter soon realized how much he relied on his young partner.

“I made a complete mess of everything,” Clarkson later admitted, eventually bringing in Harriet Cowan, a 24-year-old nurse and farmer, to help hold things together until Kaleb returned.

The move sparked speculation that Harriet had replaced Kaleb permanently, but Clarkson quickly shut down the rumors. “There have been lots of reports that Kaleb has been ‘replaced’—well, no he hasn’t,” he clarified.

Staying Grounded Amid Fame

For Harriet, who briefly worked alongside Clarkson, the impression Kaleb left was clear. “He’s very much like every other farmer I’ve ever met,” she told The Times. “He wanted to do well by the farm, he’s still very much grounded and he doesn’t let the fame and all the publicity get to him.”

And that may be exactly why Kaleb’s career is set for longevity. Instead of chasing quick cash, he’s building a reputation based on authenticity, hard work, and connection with fans who see him as the real deal.

The Road Ahead

With Clarkson’s Farm renewed for more seasons, and Kaleb continuing to balance television, writing, and farming, the young father-of-three seems determined to follow Clarkson’s advice. Fame may have arrived quickly, but Kaleb Cooper is playing the long game — one tractor ride, one field, and one honest laugh at a time.
