Realizing the risks, Mark and Digger made the difficult decision to step back. They handed operations over to their trusted friend “Killer Beaz” while they laid low and passed on their secrets. While their departure was never announced as permanent, it marked a turning point in their journey.

Earlier in Season 11, Mark and Digger were busted in a rented basement. Though not arrested, they received a stern warning: complaints were circulating, and authorities were watching. That episode captured their dilemma perfectly—“We’re not in handcuffs yet, but honestly, we don’t know what the future holds,” Mark said.
It wasn’t just the law they had to worry about. In Season 14, rising copper prices led them to track down long-hidden still parts.
