Clarkson’s Farm Star Lisa Hogan Shares ‘Amazing’ Puppy Update After Heartbreak at Diddly Squat Farm.

Clarkson’s Farm has never been short of drama — from weather challenges to market struggles — but recent weeks have been particularly emotional for the Diddly Squat Farm team. After enduring a devastating loss and a serious health setback for their cattle, Jeremy Clarkson and his partner Lisa Hogan have finally been able to share some uplifting news.

A Difficult Chapter for Diddly Squat

Just days before the happy announcement, Clarkson revealed a crushing blow to his Oxfordshire farm: bovine tuberculosis had been detected among the herd.

“Bad news from Diddly Squat,” he said in a sombre update to fans. “We’ve gone down with TB. Everyone here is absolutely devastated.”

The diagnosis meant an immediate lockdown of the farm, halting operations for at least two months while further testing is carried out. Clarkson described the atmosphere as “just dreadful, absolutely dreadful,” adding that although the farm shop would remain open, the livestock area was effectively closed.

To make matters worse, another piece of sad news soon followed.

The Loss of ‘Mr Grey’

Earlier this month, Clarkson’s beloved dog Arya had given birth to a litter of puppies — a joyful moment that came as the rest of the country celebrated England’s Lionesses winning the Euros.

In an Instagram video posted at the time, Clarkson panned the camera to show Arya curled up with her newborns, saying:

“Now I know you’ve all been enjoying the football, but I’ve been rather busy if I’m honest. Because look what Arya’s done. Yay! I mean well done Lionesses, but really, really, really well done Arya.”

Lisa Hogan also celebrated the moment on social media, calling Arya their “lioness of 11” and congratulating both their dog and the England women’s team in the same breath. Clarkson even revealed in the comments that he had acted as “midwife” during the birth.

However, the joy was soon tempered by heartbreak. Just days later, Clarkson announced that one of the puppies — affectionately named Mr Grey — had passed away. In a quiet video, Lisa could be seen stroking Arya while whispering:

“Sad news this morning. Mr Grey has gone to fur and feather land. Poor Mr Grey, I’m sorry darling.”

The news was met with an outpouring of sympathy from fans, who offered words of comfort to the couple during what was already a difficult period.

A Much-Needed Positive Turn

Thankfully, there has now been a brighter development. Lisa Hogan took to Instagram to post a heartwarming video update showing the surviving puppies thriving at just 13 days old.

Filmed during their regular “puppy weigh-in day,” the clip showed Lisa gently lifting each wriggling pup, speaking to them in a soft voice and praising their progress.

“Day 13 and it’s puppy weigh-in day,” she wrote in the caption. “I weigh them every 3 days, and happy to report, they are all gaining weight and wobbling around on their legs.”

She also included a sweet moment comparing the largest puppy, “Mr White,” with the smallest, “Lady Lemon,” joking that she couldn’t cut any of the pups out of the video — even if it meant it ran long.

Fans Shower Support and Love

The video drew a flood of positive comments from Clarkson’s Farm fans.

“Ah, so, so sweet — look at them,” one admirer wrote.

Another said: “Gosh, they are so cute!!!” while others singled out Lady Lemon for special attention, urging Lisa to “look after” the tiny pup.

One supporter noted: “Puppies are a wild ride! Incredible to watch how fast they grow and their little personalities develop. Puppy breath is the best medicine!”

Others praised Lisa for her care: “They look so cute — you’re doing an amazing job, Lisa xx.”

From Grief to Gratitude

The joy around the puppies has brought a welcome lift to the farm’s spirits following the one-two blow of losing Mr Grey and the TB outbreak. The Diddly Squat team are still facing weeks of uncertainty due to the TB lockdown, but the lively, growing pups have given them something to smile about.

Lisa’s videos — full of warmth, patience, and gentle humour — have also reinforced her popularity among Clarkson’s Farm fans, who admire her resilience and affection for the animals in her care.

Life at Diddly Squat: The Highs and Lows

Clarkson’s Farm, now four seasons in, has become known for its candid portrayal of farming life — the triumphs, the disasters, and the unexpected challenges in between. Fans have watched Clarkson, Lisa, and their team battle poor weather, unpredictable markets, livestock health crises, and endless paperwork, all while trying to keep the farm profitable and running smoothly.

The recent string of events — from welcoming a new litter of puppies to facing bovine TB — captures exactly what the show does best: showing that farm life is never straightforward, but always full of heart.

Looking Ahead

While the next TB test is still weeks away, Clarkson and Lisa remain optimistic. The farm shop continues to operate, providing a crucial link to the local community and fans who travel from across the country to visit.

In the meantime, puppy updates from Lisa have become a regular source of joy for followers, many of whom say they check her Instagram just to see the latest on Mr White, Lady Lemon, and the rest of the litter.

One thing is clear: even in tough times, the Diddly Squat crew — both human and four-legged — continue to win hearts.

As one fan put it under Lisa’s latest video: “Life on the farm is never easy, but it’s always worth it. You’re giving those pups the best start possible — and that’s amazing.”
