How Clarkson’s Farm breakout Kaleb Cooper became a millionaire.
Kaleb Cooper: From 50p-an-Hour Farmhand to Millionaire TV Star
The Unlikely Rise of Clarkson’s Farm Fan-Favorite
Kaleb Cooper, the fiery, curly-haired farming contractor from Clarkson’s Farm, has officially become a millionaire — a remarkable turnaround for someone who once earned just 50p an hour tending calves.
At only 26 years old, Cooper has parlayed his breakout fame on the hit Amazon Prime Video series into a growing media empire and thriving farming businesses. Here’s how the young farmer from Chipping Norton turned muddy boots into a million-pound fortune.
Humble Beginnings on the Farm
Before Clarkson’s Farm, Cooper worked for the previous owner of Diddly Squat Farm. When Jeremy Clarkson bought the land in 2021, Kaleb stayed on — and instantly became the show’s breakout star. With his deadpan delivery and fierce dedication to proper farming methods, Cooper quickly became Clarkson’s unofficial boss.
Their dynamic — part comedy, part chaos — has been central to the show’s charm. And behind the laughs was a hardworking farmer sometimes putting in 18-hour days, seven days a week.
A Million-Pound Milestone
According to financial records filed in March, Kaleb Cooper Productions — the company that collects his earnings from the show — reported assets totaling £960,000, including £400,000 in cash.
He also runs two other farming businesses:
-
K Cooper Contracting
-
K Cooper Holdings
Together, the companies pulled in an additional £100,000 in profits. Altogether, Kaleb has now hit the million-pound mark.
Beyond the Farm: Tours, Books, and Big Dreams
Riding the wave of Clarkson’s Farm popularity, Kaleb launched a UK tour with his solo live show The World According to Kaleb. He’s also authored three best-selling books:
-
It’s a Farming Thing
-
Britain According to Kaleb
-
The World According to Kaleb
But despite his growing fame, Kaleb remains grounded. In earlier interviews, he shared how feeding calves and trying to flip them for a profit left him earning just 50p an hour — a harsh reality of modern farming economics.
Family Life & Future Goals
Kaleb shares two young children — Oscar (3) and Willa (1) — with his fiancée, Taya. In February, the couple announced they are expecting their third child this August.
He’s made it clear that, despite his TV success, his ultimate dream is to own a farm of his own.
“Very excited to announce that baby Cooper number 3 is cooking… Going to be a very very busy August,” Kaleb posted online.
Still Just Kaleb at Heart
While fame and fortune have found him, Kaleb Cooper’s priorities remain simple: family, farming, and a good argument with Jeremy Clarkson.
“Our chemistry is completely natural,” Kaleb said of their on-screen relationship. “We may stop talking to each other for a day or two after an argument — but that’s normal. Eventually, we have a cup of tea and talk about farming again.”
As Clarkson’s Farm continues filming its fourth season, with a fifth already greenlit, Kaleb shows no signs of slowing down. He might be a millionaire now — but to fans, he’ll always be the stubborn farm boy who told Jeremy Clarkson to “shut up and listen.”
